Personal Data Management Policy

Personal Data Management Policy

In accordance with applicable regulations, and in particular pursuant to the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016, hereinafter “GDPR”), the Union de Normalisation de la Mécanique (hereinafter referred to as “UNM”), whose registered office is located at 45 rue Louis Blanc, 92400 Courbevoie, acting as the data controller, undertakes to take all necessary measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of the personal data provided.

What is the purpose of data processing? The processing is carried out for the following purposes: responding to inquiries submitted via the contact form, sending the newsletter to subscribers, organizing webinars and events, and managing prospecting activities.

What personal data is collected and processed? The data collected includes the information entered into the forms (first name, last name, email address, organization, and phone number). Data marked with an asterisk in the forms are mandatory. Otherwise, the information will not be transmitted or stored by UNM, and therefore registration for a webinar, event, newsletter, or submission via the contact form will not be effective.

Who has access to the collected data? The data collected will be communicated to the UNM communications department. In order to manage its contacts, UNM may transmit this data to the Active Campaign, Zoom, Calendly and/or Google subcontractors.

How long is the data stored? The personal data collected is only stored for the time strictly necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was submitted. It will be kept for the duration of the user’s subscription to the selected UNM service.
For users not enrolled in a UNM standardization committee, data will be deleted three years after the last user-initiated contact or after unsubscribing from the newsletter without resubscription.
For users enrolled in a UNM standardization committee, data will be retained throughout their participation and up to 11 years after unsubscribing from all UNM standardization committees.

What are your rights and how to exercise them? You have the right to access, rectify, erase, or restrict the processing of your personal data. You may withdraw your consent to the processing of your data at any time.

For any questions about data protection or to exercise your rights, you may contact the UNM’s Data Protection Officer (DPO) at the following address: c.bourillon@unm.fr

Please consult the website cnil.fr for more information about your rights. In case of difficulty, you may file a complaint with the French data protection authority, the Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL).
